If you had asked me in May of 2020 if I would be continuing my podcast and would reach 100+ episodes, I would have said …
YES! Because God is faithful. He is the one who told me to start this podcast and to call it Positively Joy, even though I told him it was grammatically incorrect. He said he knew, but to do it anyway.
“Yes, Lord.” Because that is what you say to God.
Over the year, he has revealed to me the true purpose of the podcast. Yes, it’s about joy, but it’s really about the TRUE nature of God’s joy. And that is the ONLY joy that truly satisfies. The only thing that will fill you.
And so I said yes, and I continue to say yes. It goes back to scripture in the Gospel of John that is our signature scripture for this podcast and ministry:
“As the Father has loved me, so have I loved you. Now remain in my love. If you keep my commands, you will remain in my love, just as I have kept my Father’s commands and remain in his love. I have told you this so that my joy may be in you and that your joy may be complete. John 15:9-11
And so in this, our third season, we are asking you to listen through the lens of God’s pure, real and true joy. The only joy. And there is a lot to be had, for sure.
On Monday, we released episode 100 with El Edwards of Wales, who is a silver-lining spotter. He has a hack for finding the silver linings in life, but you have to listen to the end! Her brand is Youier, a website and course that encourages you to be not only you, but even more you. Because God loves you just the way you are!
On Thursday, we speak to Chelle Johnson, who had the kind of career that most people dream of. She worked for major corporations and had a loving husband and two kids. But she had some limiting beliefs and a childhood history that God wanted to heal her of. After going through recovery with her husband, God taught her what faith over fear really is. Now, Chelle helps other women through career resilience.
I’m so blessed that God has allowed Positively Joy to flourish, and I thank those who have been with us for the ride. Here’s to the next 100! I know God has more big things (and more announcements) to come!
